I am always asking myself, 'Why do I do this to myself?". It may be when I am out running. Or riding the bike. Or waking up hungover from drinking too much beer. These are my (lame) stories.

Did I mention....

.....that for some godforsaken reason I signed up for Timber Knoll this weekend? WTF? I think I have lost it!!! Oh well - my plan is just to run 4 hours (of the 6) then sit around in a lounge chair under the full moon and drink beer. How awesome does that sound? Anyone want to camp on Sat night??

LAME! Why would you sign up for a six hour race, only planning to run part of it?

Hey, I'm in the Leadville 100 this weekend, but I'm only going to be running the first 60 miles or so.

Pathetic!

If you recall, assclown, I am on a break from running. So I would rather drink beer than run, And you can kiss my ass!

I've heard of planning to fail, but I always thought it was a figure of speech. I've never actually seen someone sit down and say, "OK, here's how I plan to be a loser."

Night running in this setting is bank for training purposes! Take advantage of it! What the hell is the difference between a six hour run and a four hour run anyways? NOTHING, except the DNF label you'll have around your neck.
